Chapter 1 excerpt: The Great Law of the Universe—As You Believe, It Is Done unto You

Most people feel that the flow of power comes from outside of themselves. This is true in the physical dimension of life because we live and interact with other beings and physical forces that can project power. At the level of your personal world, power actually flows from within you to create your outer world. The power and forces within you, your beliefs, create the life you experience within the realm of your personal world. It determines what you have and what you don’t have in your life and the people with whom you associate and share intimacy. Everything about your life right now has been determined by how you have used and managed the power within yourself, the power of your beliefs.

Chapter 2 excerpt: Destructive Beliefs

Destructive beliefs are beliefs you hold about yourself that create destruction in your life. They are beliefs that keep you stuck in a life not aligned with your true desires. The intensity and types of destructive beliefs you hold determine the intensity of the destruction that these beliefs wreak in your life. Milder intensities might keep you stuck in undesirable relationships, careers, or jobs, whereas highly intense destructive beliefs can lead to an extremely horrid existence, violence, and death. Self-hatred is a generic term I use for destructive core beliefs because they define parts of a person that the person hates about himself or herself. People are very ashamed of these definitions of themselves and go to great lengths to hide them from others. Beliefs that you are evil or bad, a failure in life, unlovable, stupid, ugly, and the like are all self-hating destructive beliefs.

Chapter 3 excerpt: Your Personal World

We humans each have our own unique personal world in which we operate and experience our lives. Our personal world has three main dimensions: the physical dimension, the emotional dimension, and the spiritual dimension. The physical dimension is where we experience the objects, forces, and energies that make up the physical universe. The emotional dimension is the home of our belief system. It is where we interpret our experiences and define how we respond to life. The spiritual dimension is where we know we are an integral part of the universe.

Chapter 4 excerpt: Accessing Your Personal Power

Two major changes are needed in your emotional dimension to create the changes in your life that you desire. One is to create and empower new beliefs that are aligned with the life you desire, and the second is to retract your faith in your existing destructive beliefs. In the previous chapter, it was shown that we all have the ability to do both. It is vital that your new beliefs counteract and begin to replace your faith in your destructive beliefs. There is no mystery about this process, which is quite logical. You are changing your beliefs by creating new beliefs that will replace old beliefs. Not only do you have this ability but you have done it many times in your life. Compare your current beliefs to those of ten years past. As you grew from toddler to young adult, many beliefs changed. Two major changes are needed in your emotional dimension to create the changes in your life that you desire. Chapter 5 excerpt: Expanding Your Personal Power

Bible wisdom: “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall” (Matthew 7:24–27).

Once you have created the qualities and attributes for your personal God, then you need to continually nurture and build your relationship with your personal God. You do this in the same manner you built your faith in your destructive beliefs.
You have to spend quality time with your new beliefs. You also have to integrate your personal God with the feelings that correspond with the beautiful attributes with which you have endowed your personal God.

Chapter 6 excerpt: Challenging Your Destructive Beliefs

Each time you tell your destructive beliefs that they are a lie and that you don’t believe what they are saying to you, their power over your life is diminished. Each time you immediately say your truth statement in response to your destructive beliefs, your belief in your truth statement is enhanced. This effectively redirects the power of your belief from your destructive to your personal God and the new beliefs you have created. As your power flows from your destructive beliefs toward your personal God, your experience of life changes accordingly. It is important to keep your truth statement connected to the destructive belief that just attacked you by immediately and directly responding with your Truth.

Chapter 7 excerpt: Rebirth

When you create new beliefs, old beliefs must die away to make room for the new beliefs. You have been reborn into the new beliefs. You are literally a different person in terms of the new beliefs, and your life must change to accommodate the difference. Your new beliefs change how you experience the world. You are like a newborn baby in a new world. Things will seem strange until you explore and understand the new world that your new beliefs have exposed.

Chapter 8 excerpt: Perfection

Bible wisdom: “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father (Parent or personal God) in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48).

What does it mean to be “perfect”? What would your life experience be if you were perfect? Does it mean that you never make mistakes, or think evil thoughts? Does it mean your work desk is always clean and orderly, and your house too? Perfection has nothing to do with what you do, think, or not think. It is about who you are, not what you do! The original meaning of perfection is whole, complete, and fully formed. This is how it is used in the Bible and is what you were designed to be. It is about you coming to accept all of yourself, including those parts of you that you hate and believe are bad.
